Siltech Corporation expansion will create good-paying jobs in Fort Erie
TORONTO, Ontario, December 4, 2023 – Invest Ontario today announced its support for Kainos, a leading digital technology solutions provider, as the company embarks on a substantial expansion of its office in Toronto, Ontario to meet the growing demand for digital transformation across North America.
The UK-headquartered company aims to triple its Toronto headcount from 100 to more than 300 employees over the next three years with a new office space, further cementing the Toronto office’s role as a core hub of Kainos’ business in North America.
This strategic move reaffirms the strengths of Ontario’s thriving tech ecosystem and the opportunities it presents to technology companies worldwide, as industries seek to futureproof their operations with digital technologies ranging from artificial intelligence (AI), automation, cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), to cybersecurity.

SILTECH CORPORATION
Siltech Corporation's $100 million investment will be used to build a new 210,000 square-foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Fort Erie — the company's third facility in the province. The facility will include new state-of-the-art technology to increase production and help the company meet growing demand and expand to new markets around the world. As part of this investment to expand operation the government is providing $5 million in funding through the Regional Development Program's Southwestern Ontario Development Fund.
Ontario is investing $140 million through its Regional Development Program to support distinct regional priorities and challenges. To date, Ontario has provided more than $95 million to support 88 projects through the program, leveraging more thn $990 million in new investments and helping to create close to 2000 jobs in the province.
